Answer · The numbers match the steps below.

Step by step

The pieces go in this order: the two large triangles, the medium triangle, the parallelogram, the square, then the two small triangles. In each picture the new piece has a thick outline, the pieces already placed are paler and the grey area is still empty.

  1. 1/7: Large triangle 1

It goes in the lower right of the figure. Its right-angle corner points down.

  2. 2/7: Large triangle 2

It goes at the bottom of the figure. Its right-angle corner points up. Next to: Large triangle 1.

  3. 3/7: Medium triangle

It goes in the lower right of the figure. Its right-angle corner points down and to the right. Next to: Large triangle 1.

  4. 4/7: Parallelogram

It goes in the upper left of the figure. It is not turned over: the same side faces up as in the starting square below.

  5. 5/7: Square

It goes on the left side of the figure. It sits straight, with its sides horizontal and vertical.

  6. 6/7: Small triangle 1

It goes in the middle of the figure. Its right-angle corner points down. Next to: Large triangle 2 and Square.

  7. 7/7: Small triangle 2

It goes at the top of the figure. Its right-angle corner points down and to the right. Next to: Parallelogram and Square.
