Mirror
Use your front camera as a mirror. Nothing is recorded or sent
Loading the tool…
An online mirror that shows the front camera of your phone or laptop, flipped left to right and filling the screen. Use it to check your make-up, hair or clothes when there is no mirror nearby.
How to use
- Press "Turn on mirror" and allow the camera when the browser asks.
- Move the "Zoom" slider up to 3× to look at one part of your face more closely.
- Press "Freeze" to hold the current picture, and "Full screen" to make it larger.
- When you are done, press "Turn off camera". The camera also turns off when you switch to another tab or leave the page.
How it works
- The video is shown on this screen only and is not recorded or sent. The zoom enlarges the picture digitally, so it becomes less sharp at higher levels.
- If the device has two or more cameras, a camera list appears. The mirror setting, the zoom level and the chosen camera are saved in this browser.
- Keyboard shortcuts are Space (freeze) and F (full screen). The screen stays on while the mirror is on.
Questions and answers
- How do I see myself as others see me?
- Untick "Mirror image (turn off to see what others see)". The picture is then not flipped, so it matches photos and the view other people have of you.
- Why does the camera not turn on?
- If you blocked the camera, allow it from the lock (site information) icon in the address bar and turn it on again. If another app or tab is using the camera, close it first.
- Is the video saved or sent anywhere?
- No. The camera picture is only displayed in the browser, and the page has no recording function.
