Teleprompter
Scrolls your script at a steady speed for presentations and video recording
Loading the tool…
An online teleprompter that shows your script in large text on a full screen and scrolls it at a steady speed. Use it to read a script during a presentation, a video recording or a video call.
How to use
- Paste or type your text into the "Script" box. It is saved automatically on this device.
- Adjust "Speed", "Text size", "Line spacing" and "Side margins", and check the result in the preview below.
- Press "Start". The page goes full screen and the text starts to move after a 3-second countdown. Tap the screen or press Space to pause.
- While reading, change the speed with the − and + buttons or the ↑ and ↓ keys, and move with "Back" and "To start".
How it works
- Speed has 20 levels, and each level adds 0.08 lines per second. The default level 5 moves 0.4 lines per second, or about 24 lines per minute. The time left is based on the current speed.
- "Mirror left-right (for teleprompter glass)" makes the text readable in a reflection on glass. "Flip upside down" is for rigs that hold the screen upside down.
- PageUp and PageDown move three lines, so a presentation remote can control it. The script and settings are saved only in this browser.
Questions and answers
- What teleprompter speed should I use?
- It depends on how fast you speak and how long the lines are. Try the default level 5, then press ↓ if the text runs ahead of you or ↑ if it falls behind.
- Can I use my phone as a teleprompter?
- Yes. Open this page on the phone and press "Start"; the text scrolls in full screen and the screen stays on. Drag the text to move the reading position by hand.
- How do I use it with teleprompter glass?
- Turn on "Mirror left-right (for teleprompter glass)" so the reflected text reads the right way. With "White text on black" on, only the letters show on the glass.
