Moving Checklist
Enter your moving date to get the tasks from a month before to the week after, in date order

Turns your moving date into a dated task list from a month before the move to a week after, grouped by phase. Use it to keep track of what to book, pack and update while you prepare to move.
How to use
- Pick your "Moving date"; every task gets a date. Changing the date moves all tasks with it.
- Choose "New home" ("Renting" or "Owned"), "Packing" ("Movers pack" or "I pack myself") and tick "Children" or "Pets" to add or drop tasks.
- Tick tasks as you finish them, change a task's date or add a "Note", and add your own tasks under "Add a task".
- Press "Print" for a paper copy grouped by phase, or "Copy" to paste the list as text.
How it works
- Phases follow the date of each task: 15 or more days before the move is a month before, 8 to 14 days is two weeks before, 2 to 7 days is the week before, then the day before, moving day and after the move. Tasks due today or past their date are marked.
- Tasks marked "Check with the local office" are official procedures named without deadlines or requirements; check them with the authority where you live.
- This is general guidance. The list, ticks and notes are saved only in this browser on this device.
Questions and answers
- How far in advance should I start planning a move?
- This list starts a month before moving day with booking movers or a truck, fixing the date and telling your landlord.
- What should I do the day before moving?
- The day-before tasks are emptying and switching off the fridge, draining the washing machine, packing a bag for the first night and preparing payments.
- Can I add my own tasks?
- Yes. Type the task under "Add a task", pick a date and press "Add". It appears in the phase that matches its date.
- Does the checklist save my progress?
- Yes, ticks, added tasks, dates and notes stay in this browser on this device. Rebuilding the list from the settings removes your changes.
