Zodiac Compatibility
Compatibility between two zodiac signs or two Chinese zodiac animals, with a score and explanation
Loading the tool…
Shows how well two people match by star sign and by Chinese zodiac animal, with a score and a short explanation. Use it to compare a partner or a friend for fun.
How to use
- Enter the "Birthday (solar calendar)" of both people, or use "Choose" to pick a star sign and an animal.
- On the "Star signs" tab, read the score, "What works", "Where you may clash" and "Tip".
- On the "Chinese zodiac" tab, see the traditional relation of the two animals, and tap a cell of the "12 × 12 animal table" for other pairs.
- Keep the result with "Save as image" or share it with "Copy link".
How it works
- This is just for fun. Star signs and zodiac animals do not decide anyone's character or relationships, and a low score is no reason to rethink a relationship.
- Star signs score points for element, modality and the angle between the signs, rescaled to 45–98. Animals start at 70 and gain or lose points for each traditional relation, within 35–98. The points are this tool's own rule and are shown on the page.
- Birthdays are saved only on this device. The share link contains the signs and animals, not the birthdays.
Questions and answers
- What is my Chinese zodiac animal if I was born in January or early February?
- The animal changes at the Lunar New Year, so if you were born before it, the previous year's animal applies. The tool works this out for birthdays from 1000 to 2050.
- What do trine, six harmonies and resentment mean?
- They are traditional relations between animals. A trine is a group of three, such as Monkey, Rat and Dragon; six harmonies are pairs such as Rat and Ox; resentment is a pair such as Rat and Goat.
- What is my star sign if I was born on a boundary date?
- The day the Sun enters a sign shifts by about a day between years, so the page shows a note near a boundary. If you know your sign, pick it with "Choose".
