- In the table at the bottom choose "Month" or "Year", then press "Print" or "Save as CSV".
How it works
- Times come from the NOAA solar position equations. Sunrise and sunset are when the centre of the sun is 0.833° below the horizon; twilight uses −6° (civil), −12° (nautical) and −18° (astronomical).
- Golden hour is defined as sun elevation from −4° to 6°, blue hour from −6° to −4°. Hills, buildings and weather can shift what you see by a few minutes.
- City coordinates and time zones come from GeoNames; daylight saving time comes from your browser's IANA data.
- Your location never leaves the device. The last place is saved in this browser.
Questions and answers
- What time is sunrise today?
- Choose your city or press "Use my location", then press "Today". For example, on 4 July 2026 the sun rises in New York at 5:30 AM and sets at 8:30 PM local time.
- When is golden hour?
- Shortly after sunrise and before sunset, when the sun is low. The tool lists the periods when it is between −4° and 6° elevation.
- What is civil twilight?
