Convert HEIC, PNG, JPG and WebP images to another format
Loading the tool…
Converts HEIC photos from an iPhone and images such as PNG or WebP into JPG, PNG or WebP. Use it when a website or program does not accept the format of your picture.
How to use
- Drop images onto the box or click to choose them. You can add several HEIC, JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, SVG or AVIF files.
- Under "Convert to", choose JPG, PNG or WebP. For JPG and WebP, set the "Quality".
- When converting to JPG, choose the "Fill color for transparent areas".
- Press "Download" for each image, or "Download all as ZIP" for several.
How it works
- The real format is read from the first bytes of the file, not from the file extension. A photo named .jpg that is really HEIC is still read correctly.
- The width and height in pixels stay the same. The converted file does not contain EXIF data such as the location where the photo was taken.
- Only the first frame of an animated GIF and the first image of a multi-image HEIC file are converted. TIFF, PSD and PDF files cannot be converted.
- Images are not uploaded; they are processed on this device.
Questions and answers
- How do I convert an iPhone HEIC photo to JPG?
- Add the HEIC file and leave "Convert to" on JPG. When the conversion is done, press "Download". Several files can be saved together as a ZIP.
- What happens to a transparent background when converting PNG to JPG?
- JPG cannot be transparent, so those areas are filled with the "Fill color for transparent areas". To keep transparency, save as PNG or WebP.
- Does converting reduce the image quality?
- PNG keeps every pixel but the file can be larger. With JPG and WebP, a lower "Quality" gives a smaller file and lower image quality. The size before and after is shown for each file.
- Can I convert WebP to JPG or PNG?
- Yes. Add the WebP file and choose JPG or PNG under "Convert to".
