Add Watermark to Photos
Put a text or logo watermark on your photos
Loading the tool…
Places a text watermark, such as your name or a "©" notice, or a logo image on your photos and saves them. Add several photos to mark them all at once, for example photos for a blog or an online shop.
How to use
- Drop your photos onto the page or click to choose them. You can add many at once.
- Under "Watermark", choose "Text" or "Logo image", then set the text, size, colour and "Opacity".
- Under "Layout", choose "One mark" and pick one of nine positions, or choose "Repeat diagonally" to cover the whole photo.
- Drag the preview, or use the arrow keys, to fine-tune where the watermark sits.
- Pick a format under "Save as" and press "Download". With several photos, download one ZIP file or use "Download one by one".
How it works
- Text size, logo width, margin and spacing are shares of the photo width, so the mark keeps its proportions on photos of any size.
- Saved photos keep their original pixel size. "Same as the original" keeps JPEG, PNG and WebP files in their format and saves other formats as JPEG.
- Your settings and logo are remembered in this browser on this device. Photos are never uploaded.
Questions and answers
- Can I add a watermark to many photos at once?
- Yes. Every photo you add gets the same settings, and "Download all N as ZIP" saves them together. Each file name ends in "-watermark".
- How do I make a logo watermark with a transparent background?
- Use a PNG logo with a transparent background. A JPEG logo carries its background colour with it. Lowering "Opacity" makes the whole logo see-through.
- How can I make a watermark harder to remove?
- "Repeat diagonally" covers the whole photo, which is harder to crop away than one mark in a corner. No watermark is impossible to remove.
- Does adding a watermark lower the image quality?
- The pixel size stays the same. JPEG and WebP are compressed again, so a high "JPEG/WebP quality" (92 by default) keeps the difference small. PNG has no loss.
