Instagram Line Break & Invisible Character

Keep your line breaks in captions and bios, and copy invisible space characters

Loading the tool…

Puts an invisible character on each empty line of an Instagram caption or bio, so the empty lines stay after you post. It also copies blank characters, finds hidden characters and tidies hashtag lists.

How to use

  1. On the "Line breaks" tab, write or paste your post into "Your text".
  2. Choose the "Character for empty lines". "Braille blank (U+2800) — recommended" is selected at first.
  3. Press "Copy result", paste the text into Instagram, and check the "Feed preview" for the part shown before the caption is collapsed.
  4. For a blank character, open "Invisible characters", set "How many to copy" and press "Copy".
  5. On the "Hashtags" tab, remove duplicates and set the # sign, the order and the maximum number.

How it works

Questions and answers

Why does Instagram remove my line breaks?
Instagram may remove lines that contain no characters and spaces at the ends of lines. An invisible character such as the Braille blank makes the empty line count as a line with text, so it stays.
How do I make a blank name or an empty message?
A common way is to copy the "Hangul filler" from the "Invisible characters" tab and paste it. Some apps block this character or show it as a box.
How do I remove strange hidden spaces from text?
Paste the text into "Text to check" on the "Invisible characters" tab. Hidden characters are marked with their codes, and "Copy cleaned text" copies the text without them.
How many hashtags can I use?
Choose 5 or 30 under "Hashtag limit", and the page counts against that number. Above the limit it warns that the post may be refused or extra hashtags may be dropped.
