Builds a quote or an invoice from your details, your client's details and the line items, and saves it as a PDF or PNG. Use it to prepare a document for a client.
How to use
- Under "Document type", choose "Quote" or "Invoice", then set the number, date, currency and paper size.
- Fill in "From (you)" and "To (client)" with the name, tax ID, address and contact details, and add a logo or signature image if you like.
- Under "Line items", enter each item with its quantity and unit price; "+ Add line" adds rows.
- Complete "Discount, tax, shipping" and "Notes and payment details", press "Save as PDF / Print", and choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog.
How it works
- For tax, choose "Added on top", "Included in prices" or "None". On this page no tax is set at first; enter the rate that applies to you.
- With tax included in prices, tax = amount × rate ÷ (100 + rate), and the rest is the net amount.
- Your profile, clients and saved documents stay only in this browser on this device; "Export JSON" makes a file to move them elsewhere.
- The tool makes quotes and invoices only, not receipts or pay slips.
Questions and answers
- What is the difference between a quote and an invoice?
- A quote states the price and terms before the work is agreed; an invoice asks for payment afterward. Changing "Document type" turns the same content into either one.
- How is tax calculated when it is added on top or included?
- Added on top: 100 at 10% gives a total of 110. Included in prices: a total of 110 at 10% is split into 100 net and 10 tax.
- Is this an official tax invoice?
- No. Whether a document meets the invoicing rules where you work depends on what you enter, so check the local requirements.
- Can I save an invoice and edit it later?
- "Save this document" keeps it on this device, and you can open it again from the saved documents. "New document" suggests the next number.
