Flowchart Maker
Type the steps as text to draw a flowchart and save it as an image

Turns steps written as plain text into an automatically laid-out flowchart and saves it as PNG or SVG, for example to document a work procedure or an algorithm.
How to use
- In "Steps as text", write one step per line. End a decision with a question mark and indent "Yes: …" and "No: …" lines under it.
- Write "→ step name" for an arrow back to an earlier step, or press "Example 1: order handling" to start from an example.
- Tap a box to change its text or shape, add a step or delete it; changes are written back into the text.
- Under "Options", choose the direction, colour theme, title and "Swimlanes (one band per role)".
- Export with "Save PNG", "Save SVG" or "Print", or keep it with "Save file (JSON)".
How it works
- Shape marks: /input or output/, ~ document, @ connector, (start or end text). Yes/no and start/end words are recognised in all eleven site languages.
- Steps are placed in layers with right-angled arrows; loops go around the outside and boxes never overlap.
- The text is saved automatically in this browser and is never sent anywhere.
Questions and answers
- What do the flowchart symbols mean?
- Rounded: start or end. Rectangle: process. Diamond: decision. Parallelogram: input or output. Wavy bottom: document. Small circle: connector.
- Can a decision have more than two branches?
- Yes. Write several labelled lines under it, such as "High:", "Medium:" and "Low:".
- How do I draw a loop?
- Inside a branch, write "→ step name". "→ step name | try again" also labels the arrow.
- Can I show who does each step?
- Start a line with the role in brackets, such as [Sales], and switch on "Swimlanes".
