Visual Timer for Kids
A timer where the remaining time shrinks as a coloured wedge, for brushing teeth, tidy-up or screen time

A round timer in which the remaining time shrinks as a coloured wedge. Children who cannot read a clock yet can see how much time is left, so it helps with brushing teeth, tidying up or screen time.
How to use
- Set the time with a quick button from 1 to 30 minutes, by dragging around the dial, or by typing the minutes and seconds.
- Choose a "Color", and add an "Activity name" and a "Picture" if you like. For a child who cannot read numbers, turn off "Show numbers".
- Press "Start". Use "Full screen" so the timer can be seen from across the room.
- To run several tasks in a row, such as a morning routine, use "Add step" under "Steps in a row" and press "Start the steps".
How it works
- On the "60-minute face" one full circle is 60 minutes; with "Set time = full circle" the whole circle is the time you set. The longest time is 180 minutes.
- The timer counts down to a fixed end time, so it stays correct if you switch to another tab. While it runs, the screen is kept on in browsers that support this.
- At the end there is no flashing, only a soft sound and a message. "Give a notice 1 minute before the end" works when the time is longer than 1 minute 30 seconds.
Questions and answers
- Can I use it as a tooth brushing timer for kids?
- Yes. Type the activity name, choose the toothbrush picture and press a quick time button. The time and settings are kept for the next visit.
- Are there keyboard shortcuts?
- Space starts and pauses, R resets, and F switches full screen on and off.
- Can it run without sound?
- Turn off "Play a soft sound at the end". The end is then shown only by the "Time is up" message on screen.
