Certificate Maker
Make award and completion certificates to print
Loading the tool…
Enter a recipient and a text to make an award, completion, appointment, thank-you or children's praise certificate, then print it or save it as PDF or PNG. Use it to make certificates for many people at once for a school, club or event.
How to use
- Under "Type", choose "Award", "Completion", "Appointment", "Thank-you" or "Praise (children)".
- Enter the "Recipient", "Date", "Presenter's title" and "Presenter's name". Write the "Text" yourself or pick one from "Example texts".
- Under "Design", set the "Border", "Colour", "Font", "Paper" and "Orientation", and add a seal or signature image and a logo if you want.
- For several people, write one name per line under "Many recipients at once". Then press "Print", "Save as PDF" or "Save as PNG".
How it works
- There are 10 borders, and 30 example texts across the five types. Write {name} in the text to insert the recipient's name.
- Up to 200 pages can be made at once, and the last number in "Number" goes up by one per page. Paste two columns (name, text) from a spreadsheet to give each person their own text.
- Your entries and the seal and logo images are saved in this browser on this device.
- This is for celebrations and events. Do not make degrees, licences, official documents or anything that could pass as formal proof.
Questions and answers
- What should I write on a certificate?
- A common pattern is a line such as "This certificate is presented to", the name, and a short reason, for example "for outstanding performance in this year's competition". Pick an example text and change it to fit.
- Can I make certificates for a whole class at once?
- Yes. Write one name per line under "Many recipients at once"; one page is made per person and saved together as one PDF. Several PNG images are saved in a ZIP file.
- Why is the border cut off when I print?
- In the print dialog, choose scale "Actual size (100%)" and margins "None".
