Name Tag & Name Plate Maker
Paste a list of names to print name badges, desk name plates and tent cards in one go
Loading the tool…
Lays out name badges, desk name strips, folding tent cards or locker labels from a pasted list of names on A4 or Letter paper, ready to print. Use it for event badges, meeting name plates or class labels.
How to use
- Paste the names into "Names", one per line. Add a second line after a comma, such as "Name, Team".
- Under "Type", choose "Name badge", "Desk name strip", "Tent card" or "Locker label", and set the "Size".
- Under "Design", choose the "Top line", "Theme", "Color" and "Font", and add a logo if needed.
- Choose the "Paper" and "Cut lines", press "Print" and print at actual size (100%).
How it works
- Each name is sized to fit its tag and split over two lines if long. Up to 1,000 names are placed at a time.
- A "Tent card" prints both faces with the upper one upside down, so after folding on the dashed line it reads correctly from both sides. The size is for one face.
- "Numbers and groups" adds numbers or splits people into groups with their own colors. Names, logo and settings are saved only in this browser on this device.
Questions and answers
- How many name badges fit on one sheet?
- With the default 10 mm margin, ten 90 × 55 mm badges fit on A4 and eight on Letter. The summary shows the count per sheet.
- How do I make a folding tent card?
- Choose "Tent card", print, cut along the outer lines and fold on the dashed middle line. The "Back face" can be "Same as front" or "Blank".
- Can each group have a different color?
- Yes. Enter a number in "Number of groups"; each group gets its own color. Choose "Alternating (1·2·3·1·2·3)" or "In order (1·1·2·2·3·3)".
- Why do only three 100 × 70 mm badges fit on a sheet?
- With a 10 mm margin, two do not fit side by side. Set the "Page margin" to 5 mm and eight fit on A4.
