Weekly Meal Planner
Fill in the week's meals, get a shopping list, and print both
Loading the tool…
Builds a meal plan of one to four weeks by writing menus into day and meal cells, and adds up a shopping list from the ingredients attached to each menu. The plan, the shopping list and a large-print fridge sheet can be printed.
How to use
- Tap a cell in the plan and type a menu, or select a cell and tap a menu under "My menus".
- Drag the ⠿ handle under a cell onto another cell to move it, or use "Copy cell", "Paste" and "Clear cell".
- Under "Manage menus and ingredients", write one "ingredient, quantity unit" line per ingredient; they are added to the "Shopping list".
- Change the first day, length and meal names under "Days, weeks and meals", then press "Print meal plan" or "Print large fridge sheet".
How it works
- The same ingredient in the same unit is added up; different units are shown side by side. Three menus with "milk, 250 ml" give 750 ml.
- Set each ingredient's category with "Change categories", and tick what you already have to leave it out of printing and copying.
- Plans and menus are kept in this browser on this device; "Save to file" moves them to another device.
- The tool does not calculate nutrition or calories.
Questions and answers
- Can I print a weekly meal plan template?
- Yes. "Print meal plan" prints each week on one A4 or Letter page, with the days across in landscape or down in portrait.
- How do I turn a meal plan into a grocery list?
- Attach ingredients such as "onion, 1" to a menu. Every cell that contains that menu adds its ingredients, and menus without ingredients are listed below the shopping list.
- Can I add a snack row?
- Type the meal names separated by commas, for example "Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack". Up to six meals are possible.
- Can I plan more than one week?
- Set the length to 2, 3 or 4 weeks and switch between the weeks, or use "Duplicate" to copy a whole plan.
