Grow branches from a central topic with the keyboard and save the mind map as a PNG or SVG image, for brainstorming or organizing study notes.
How to use
- An example map opens first. Press "New mind map" under "My mind maps (this device)" to start from "Central topic" and type its name.
- Press Tab for a subtopic and Enter for a topic at the same level, or use "Add subtopic" and "Add same level".
- Drag a topic onto the middle of another topic to move it under that topic, or onto its top or bottom edge to change the order.
- Choose "Balanced", "Tree to the right" or "Org chart" under "Layout", and change the color, bold, emoji or note under "Selected topic".
- When you finish, press "Save PNG", "Save SVG" or "Print". To edit the map again later, keep a JSON copy with "Save file".
How it works
- Paste an indented list into "Outline (indented list)", one topic per line, and press "Rebuild the map from this list". The map can also be exported as text or Markdown.
- A list can hold up to 3,000 topics. The layout is automatic, so topics are placed without overlapping.
- Maps are saved automatically under "My mind maps (this device)", where you can keep several. Nothing is sent to a server.
