Study Time Tracker
Time your study sessions by subject and see daily and per-subject totals
Loading the tool…
Tap a subject to time your study, then see today's total, statistics for the last 7 days or this month, and a calendar of daily study time.
How to use
- On the "Subjects and data" tab, set the subject names and colors. Math, English, Science and History are there at first.
- Tap a subject when you start studying and tap it again to stop. Only one subject is timed at a time.
- Enter hours under "Daily goal" to see your progress below "Studied today".
- On "Statistics", read the chart, "Time by subject" and the calendar. On "Records", edit entries or use "Add manually" for time you forgot to track.
How it works
- The start time is stored, so the clock keeps running even if you close the tab. While timing, the browser tab title shows the elapsed time.
- A session that runs past midnight is split at midnight and added to each day. Switch on "Keep the screen on while timing" to stop a phone screen from turning off.
- Records are saved only in this browser on this device and are deleted if you clear browser data. Back them up with "Save as CSV" and restore them with "Import CSV".
Questions and answers
- How do I track only real study time?
- Keep the subject running only while you study, and tap it to stop during breaks. Stopped time is not added to the total.
- I forgot to stop the timer. What can I do?
- On the "Records" tab, press "Edit" on that entry to change the end time, or delete it.
- Can I move my records to another device?
- Save a file with "Save as CSV" on the "Subjects and data" tab and open it on the other device with "Import CSV". Records already present are skipped.
- What do the calendar colors mean?
- With a daily goal, darker days are closer to the goal and the darkest means it was reached. Without a goal, colors are relative to your busiest day that month.
