Make two-sided cards and flip through them; the ones you miss come back more often

Loading the tool…

Make two-sided flashcards and flip through them to memorize words, definitions or facts. Cards you miss come back more often.

How to use

  1. On the "Cards" tab, type the front and back and press "Add card". To add many at once, use "Add many at once" on the "Import and export" tab.
  2. On the "Study" tab, choose a "Mode" and which "Cards" to see ("Due today" or "All"), then press "Start studying".
  3. Tap the card or press Space to flip it, then press "Knew it" (→) or "Missed it" (←). On a phone, swipe the card left or right.
  4. Check your progress under "Cards per box" and press "Back up all decks (JSON)" now and then.

How it works

Questions and answers

Can I import a vocabulary list from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Copy the word and meaning columns and paste them into "Add many at once"; each line becomes one card. You can also import a two-column CSV file.
When do missed cards come back?
A missed card comes back before the session ends and is due again the next day. Each time you know it, the gap grows, up to 15 days.
Can I share a deck with a classmate?
For a small deck, "Make a share link" creates a link that contains the cards but not your progress. For a larger deck, send a CSV or JSON file.
Can I see the meaning and answer with the word?
Yes. Turn on "Swap sides (see the back, answer the front)". In "Type the answer" mode your typed answer is checked.
