Study Planner
Enter your exam dates and what you need to cover, and get a day-by-day plan
Loading the tool…
Enter the exam date and the material for each subject, and get a day-by-day study plan from today until the day before each exam.
How to use
- Under "Subjects and material", enter the "Exam date", "Amount", "Unit", "Time per unit", "Difficulty" and "Passes" for each subject.
- Set the "Study hours per weekday", add days off with "Add a day off", and switch on the option to keep the day before each exam for review if you want it.
- Compare "Time needed (estimate)" with "Study time available before the exams", then press "Make the plan".
- Tick off finished tasks in the "Day-by-day plan". If you fall behind, press "Reschedule missed work". "Print", "Calendar file (.ics)" and "Copy as text" export the plan.
How it works
- Time needed = amount × time per unit × difficulty weight (easy 0.8, normal 1, hard 1.3). Second and third passes are counted at half the time of the first.
- The nearest exam is served first, no day gets more than its available hours, and the work is kept as even as possible. Work that does not fit is listed separately.
- Subjects, days off, the plan and your ticks stay in this browser on this device. A JSON backup moves them to another device.
Questions and answers
- How do I make a study plan for exams?
- Divide the remaining material by the study days before the exam. Here you enter exam dates, material and daily hours, and the page turns that into daily tasks.
- How long does it take to read 200 pages twice?
- At 5 minutes a page and normal difficulty, the first pass is 200 × 5 = 1,000 minutes and the second is half that, so 1,500 minutes (25 hours).
- What if I do not keep up with the plan?
- Press "Reschedule missed work" to spread the unfinished material again from today. Ticked tasks stay as they are.
- Can I add the plan to my phone calendar?
- Download the "Calendar file (.ics)" and open it in your calendar app.
