Bubble Shooter

A classic bubble shooter game: shoot bubbles so that three or more of the same colour touch, and they pop. There is an endless mode for high scores and 20 stages, and you can play in the browser with a mouse, a keyboard or touch.

How to use

1. Under "Mode", choose "Endless" or "Stages". Clearing a stage unlocks the next one.
2. Aim by pointing with the mouse or dragging on the board, then click or lift your finger to shoot. On a keyboard, aim with ← → and shoot with Space.
3. The aiming line shows the path, including bounces off the walls. Tap the next bubble or press X to swap it with the current one.
4. The game ends when a bubble crosses the dashed line. Press P or Esc to pause, and "New game" to start again.

How it works

• Three or more connected bubbles of the same colour pop, and any bubbles left with nothing to hang from fall with them.
• After several shots in a row that pop nothing, the ceiling comes down one row ("Shots before the ceiling drops" shows how many are left); in endless mode a new row is added at the top instead. Later stages have more colours and fewer shots.
• "Show shapes on the bubbles" gives each colour its own shape, which helps players who find the colours hard to tell apart. Best scores and unlocked stages are saved on this device.

Questions and answers

How is the score calculated?

Each popped bubble gives 10 points and each falling bubble 20. When more than 4 fall at once, each extra one adds 10 more. Clearing the whole board in endless mode gives a 500-point bonus.

How do I get a higher score?

Pop a bubble that holds many others below it, so they all fall at once and score more. Bouncing a shot off a wall reaches places that are blocked from below.

I find the colours hard to tell apart. What can I do?

Turn on "Show shapes on the bubbles (helps tell the colours apart)". Each bubble then shows a shape that matches its colour, so you can match by shape as well.
