Print bubble answer sheets with the number of questions and choices you need
Loading the tool…
Makes printable bubble answer sheets for multiple-choice tests on A4 or Letter paper, with the number of questions and choices you set. Use it when you need an answer sheet template for a quiz or a practice exam.
How to use
- Set "Multiple-choice questions" (5 to 200), "Choices per question" and "Choice labels"; the sheet appears on the right at once.
- To split the test into parts, write one line per part in "Sections (optional)", such as "Reading 1-20". For answers written as numbers, raise "Written-answer questions".
- Under "Header", set the "Test name", the "Name box", the "Student ID digits" and the "Instructions".
- Choose "Per sheet" and "Paper", then press "Print".
- For grading, open "For teachers: answer key, punch template, points", type the "Answer key" and choose "Sheet with answers filled" or "Punch template" under "Print".
How it works
- The design is a simple layout drawn for this tool. It does not copy the answer sheet of any official exam. The bubble diameter can be 4.5 mm, 5 mm or 5.5 mm.
- There is no camera grading. Print the sheets and mark them by hand.
- With "Points per question" and "Point exceptions", a points table and the total score are printed as well. Your settings are saved only in this browser on this device.
Questions and answers
- Can a scanner or an OMR reader grade these sheets?
- The sheets are not made to any scanner standard, so they are meant for grading by hand. Only the idea of filling bubbles is the same.
- How do I use the punch template?
- Print the template, where the correct bubbles are bold circles, and cut out those circles. Lay it over a student sheet with the corners lined up; a filled bubble that shows through a hole is a correct answer.
- How do I enter a question with two correct answers?
- Write both with a slash, such as 2/4. Write - to skip a question. Spaces in the key are optional.
- Can I print two answer sheets on one page?
- Choose "2 copies (cut in half)" under "Per sheet" to place two copies with a cut line between them. If a copy does not fit on half a page, the tool goes back to one copy per page.
